Pessac-Léognan produces beautiful red and white wines; all the Grand Cru Classé wines from Graves are concentrated here. The whites are absolutely to die for! From a historical point of view, this is where the first vines were planted in Bordeaux some 2000 years ago, so a tour here could unveil chateaux dating back to the 12th century …
Sauternes is home to the world-famous Chateau d’Yquem. Noble rot attacks the grapes concentrating sugar and aromas. Delicious, golden, sweet white wines are produced here. But they’re not all about sugar. The art of making Sauternes wines is to bring out a wide array of flavours with a refreshing level of acidity.
Throughout the day, you will be introduced to the otherwise tightly-knit world of wine in Bordeaux. You can simply lean back and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the enchanting architecture, learn about the secrets behind the terroirs and winemaking in chateaux that I have carefully pre-selected. And, of course, you can ask me questions… all day long.
